Fort Moultrie

Fort Moultrie was very big and has many cannons. From the Civil War to World War 2 Fort Moultrie helped Fort Sumter defend the harbor. Fort Moultrie was important because they could fight enemy boats before they could invade more places. As technology changed after World War 2 the forts defenses became out dated. The cannons are big and unusual. The fort is pretty close to a river.

Riverbanks Zoo

When we went to the Riverbanks Zoo we saw gorillas, birds, snakes, crocodiles, piranhas, and many more. My favorite animals were the reticulated python, king cobra, the koalas, and the black headed python. I like the pythons because pythons are cool, the king cobra because it is venomous, and the koalas because koalas are cute.

Charleston Walking Tour

While my family and I were in Charleston we went on a walking tour with a man named Ed Grumble. We saw many things but Rainbow Road was the prettiest place out of all of them, it was filled with with bright houses. I thought it was beautiful, it is hard to believe that hard and long were fought here. He also told us that Fort Sumter was originally 3 stories high now it is only 1 story high. He also told us that Charleston was originally called Charlestown.

Charles Pinckney

Charles Pinckney was a person that signed the Constitution from South Carolina. Charles Pinckney had at least 3 children 1 named Henry was a Congress man. The plantation was cool it was big and a great place to play. I would love to live on a plantation.
